Kaartje reads what's in front of you and turns it into a title, notes and a link back — so capturing takes a keystroke, not a copy-paste ritual.
Starts filled in
The browser tab becomes title and link. A mail message brings its subject, sender and a link that reopens it. Finder files come along as attachments. Selected text in any app becomes the title.
Screenshots, right there
Press ⌘⇧S — the panel steps aside, you pick an area or a window, and the screenshot lands on the card. Paste an image with ⌘V or drop files onto the panel.
Your boards, your rules
Pick any board and list from the panel. Labels show up in Trello's own colors. Set a default destination and default labels — and Kaartje remembers the labels you used last time on each board.
Out of the way
No window, no Dock icon — just a menu bar item and a shortcut you choose. Return saves, Esc cancels, and focus goes straight back to what you were doing.

Adjust if you want
Change the title, pick a board and list, toggle labels, grab a screenshot. Or don't: the defaults are usually right.

Hi, I'm Sulejman.
I run a few small software businesses from the Netherlands, and Trello is where my ideas, bugs and customer requests end up. Getting them there was always five clicks too many: switch apps, find the board, new card, paste, switch back. Kaartje is the shortcut I wanted. It started as a tool for myself and became the thing I use most, every day.

Which browsers does the autofill work with?
Safari and every Chromium-based browser — Chrome, Arc, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, Helium and others. Firefox doesn't expose the current tab to other apps, so there Kaartje falls back to the text you selected.
Do I need the Trello desktop app?
No. Kaartje talks to Trello directly; you sign in once with your Trello account and that's it.
Can I choose the shortcut?
Yes. ⌃⌥Space is the default; change it to anything in Settings.
What happens to the link, the screenshot, the labels?
The link is added to the card description so it's clickable in Trello. Screenshots and files become card attachments. Labels are the board's own labels — nothing new is created on your board.
Is there a Windows or iOS version?
No. Kaartje is built for the Mac and its menu bar.
When can I get it?
